BIOGRAPHY

I'm a pianist and composer based in York, UK. I have played piano since the age of 6. I discovered I could play by ear, listening to records and copying the melodies on our family piano. I started writing music aged 13.

I had some amazing piano teachers who helped me develop my own style. We didn't have classical music in the family so I grew up listening to Bob Dylan and lots of musical theatre. We borrowed a lot of records from the local library. My childhood dream was to play piano in the Royal Albert Hall. I didn't get there but I have played piano in lots of amazing places from a New York cocktail bar to the York Theatre Royal stage, a few times.

With a little encouragement, I put my first album of piano music online for streaming. I have fans in the US, Russia, France and the UK with 2500 active listeners.

I believe that music should be accessible. I'm simply an excitable and emotional storyteller and, I hope, you'll enjoy the journey with me, whether you hear me in person or online.
